• July 1, 2010 - Preliminary Applications available for download at district website to qualify candidates for the 2011-2012 Programs.
• July 10, 2010 - Fourth & Final Outbound Orientation in Lauro de Freitas for the 2010-2011 Program.
• August 2010 - Departure of Outbound Students for the 2010-2011 Program.
• August 29-30, 2010 - Inbound Orientation Weekend in Salvador for 2010-2011 Program.
• September 30, 2010 - Preliminary Application period ends for Outbound Programs for 2011-2012.
• October 2010 - District clubs take Official Outbound applications and interview candidates to be submitted for consideration by district.
• October or November 2010 - D4550 Interact Forum in Ilhéus
• October 30, 2010 - Deadline for Official Outbound Applications for 2011-2012 Program.
• October/November 2010 - Optional 10-day bus trip for inbounds to the Great Pantanal (wetlands) ecological reserve in South Central Brazil’s Mato Grosso do Sul state.
• November 4-7, 2010 - ABIJ’s 30th Brazilian YEO Conference in Riberão Preto, São Paulo State.
• November 27-28, 2010 - Interviews in Salvador of Outbound Programs candidates for 2011-2012.
• December 15, 2010 - Announcement of Selected Outbound Students for 2011-2012 Programs.
• November/December 2010 - Optional 26-day, 7-state bus tours of Northeast Brazil for inbound students, staring in Belo Horizonte and ending in Rio de Janeiro with stopovers in Ouro Preto, Brasilia, Chapada da Diamantina, Lençóis, Maceió, Fortaleza, Recife, Salvador, and Porto Seguro.
• December 15-20, 2010 - Christmas parties for Inbound students in their host clubs.
• March 5-9, 2011 - Carnival in Brazil
• March 2011 - Optional 9-day tour for Inbound students in Amazon region.
• March 19, 2011 - First Outbound Student Orientation Meeting in Salvador and their parents.
• April 2011 - Optional 6-day tour for Inbound students in Iguassu Falls area in Southern Brazil.
• April 16, 2011 - Second Outbound Student Orientation Meeting in Salvador
• May 13-15, 2011 - Annual District 4550 Conference in Jequié (obligatory attendance by both Inbound and Outbound students).
• May 14, 2011 - Third Outbound Student Orientation Meeting in Jequié during District Conference
• May 19-20, 2011 - YEO Preconvention Meeting in New Orleans, USA
• July 1, 2011 - Official opening of preliminary Outbound application period for 2012-2013 Programs. Deadline for preliminary applications: September 30.
• July 3, 2011 - Fourth and final Outbound orientation meeting in Lauro de Freitas with parents
• July 2011 - Departure for short-term Outbound students for 2011-2012 Program.
• August 2011 - Arrival of Inbound students for 2011-2012 Program.
• August 2011 - Departure for long-term Outbound and return of short-term Outbound students.
• August 28-29, 2011 - Returning Outbound students debriefing and Inbound Student orientation meeting in Salvador.
• September 30, 2011 - Deadline for Preliminary Applications for 2012-2013 Program.
• October 2011 - District clubs take official applications and interview Outbound candidates to be submitted for consideration by district for 2012-2013 Program.
• October 31, 2011 - Deadline for submission of club-approved applications to district for 2012-2013 Outbound Program.
• November 2011 - Annual ABIJ (Brazilian Assn. of YEOs) YEO Conference in Ouro Preto, Minas Gerais
• November 26-27, 2011 - Interviews in Salvador of qualified candidates for 2012-2013 Outbound Program.
• December 15, 2011 - Notification of selected Outbound students for 2012-2013 Program.
